Want to learn hand engraving ? 

 Hand engraving is a very rewarding hand skill not only to learn as a profession given that it's somewhat of a dying art but also as a hobby.  It has many outlets including Intaglio Printing , Jewellery embellishment , decorative ornamentation on objects , ie clocks, Lighters, knives some of which you can see in my portfolio below.  When I started out there was very limited courses available in the UK so I had to study in Luxembourg ,America, Belgium.  We need to promote this art otherwise it will be lost. So my plan is to offer lessons and mentoring in the UK. As I work from home I can only accommodate 2 people at a time here , however I have built up some tools and equipment over time so can offer off site classes of up to 6 people. Intaglio Prints 

During my time studying in Florence Italy I gained a love of historical plate engraving. This type of engraving dates back to the early  16th century. Using the original hand push burin techniques I have tried to combine designs both original and contempory. I have also combined various techniques of printmaking to enhance the plates overal effect.  These prints are very limited in number as I print everyone myself on heavy cotton paper. I sequentially number each print with number 1 in my private collection.  If you see a print you like, the next stage is to contact me. I can then give you more information on each print available. ie I have some prints printed on difference colour / quality and size of paper. We can also discuss the shipping option.
